U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Selects Lighthouse, By PointClickCare To Use Data For Better Care Outcomes
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – PointClickCare, a leader in cloud-based healthcare software for the long-term and post-acute care market, has announced that it has been selected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from United States to provide a key data source for understanding COVID -19 and other threats affecting residents of long-term care facilities. As part of the awarded contract, PointClickCare will provide CDC with comprehensive anonymized patient data for residents of long-term and post-acute care facilities. This data will be used to address public health priorities, allowing CDC staff to conduct a comprehensive analysis on disease patterns, progression and health outcomes; evaluate the uptake of clinical guidelines, treatments and interventions; and conduct public health surveillance.
