Team stacks with the most leverage: Yankees, Angels

The loaded New York Yankees roster will face current AL Cy Young Award favorite in Shane McClanahan, which will be a great game to watch tonight. McClanahan has a staggering 35.5% takedown percentage, along with a sub-2.00 ERA and 2.01 xFIP. In his only start against the Yankees earlier this season, McClanahan allowed just one earned run in six innings but allowed the most hits in each of his starts with seven. drove in just one run on McClanahan’s seven hits, they did a better job than most against him, which should give some optimism tonight. We know the Yankees have arguably the best offense in baseball, so getting that stack under 1% expected ownership, regardless of how good the opponent is on the mound, seems like a risk with a huge upside.

Having won just two games in the last three weeks, it’s clear the Angels are baseball’s biggest disappointment after starting the season so well. Since the losing streak began on May 26, the Angels have had the last eight wOBA and wRC+ rankings while being knocked out to baseball’s second-highest clip. They will face Tyler Anderson of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who is having a career year for himself with career lows in ERA and FIP, both around 3.00. There’s not much to identify with the Angels reporting success in the immediate future, but they’re no shortage of showpieces that can start something positive for a spiraling club. Being selective with the Angels you stack will be especially important tonight if you choose to go this route, but there is leverage that gives us benefits at an affordable price.
